Women in Engineering Event during 2022 EMC & SIPI Symposium in Spokane, Washington, USA

At the beginning of the meeting, Susanne Vogel welcomed the audience and introduced the event speakers. The first speaker was Ms. Tara Kellogg, Director of Business Development, Healthcare & Industry/Government, with ETS-Lindgren in Cedar Park, Texas. She participated remotely. Tara presented her experiences and shared her career path. It was a very interesting and very inspiring introduction to the professional career of a woman in the engineering field. And during the following 15-minute break
before the second presentation, attendees had an opportunity to discuss Tara’s speech and share their own experiences and exchange opinions. The event’s guests from different countries around the world were interested in each other’s stories and impressions. The conversation was so exciting that it had to be
interrupted to give the floor to the next speaker of the event, Dr. Brian Kent, Independent Aerospace Consultant and IEEE Fellow, based in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Kent, who was also the Symposium Keynote Speaker, introduced the audience to the “Mysteries of Solar and Lunar Eclipse Photography.”
