Interview with the Recipient of the 2021 IEEE Electromagnetics Award, Professor Balanis

Join Us for an Interview with Professor Constantine A. Balanis, Author of the Renowned Textbooks Antenna Theory: Analysis and Design and Advanced Engineering Electromagnetics
Abstract: Professor Balanis is a long-time faculty member of the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He is also a long-time member of the IEEE EMC Society and the recipient of the 2021 IEEE Electromagnetics Award for “Contributions to Electromagnetics through excellence in book authorship, teaching, and antenna research.” He joins other illustrious EMC Society members who have received this prestigious award, including the late Clayton R. Paul (2005) and the late Carl E. Baum (2007). To celebrate this achievement, EMC Society President-Elect Vignesh Rajamani will interview Professor Balanis. Join us to learn more about his illustrious career in electromagnetics and what made him a legend in antenna theory. After the informal interview, time will be allotted for questions from the attendees. You won’t want to miss this entertaining event! Please note Professor Balanis has kindly offered to share his expertise with the EMC Society during the May 13 webinar noted below. He will also present the lecture “The Evolution of Antenna Technology: Past, Present, and Future” during the 2021 Joint IEEE International Virtual Symposium on EMC+SIPI and EMC Europe scheduled from July 27 to August 13. And, we will recognize Professor Balanis’ receipt of the 2021 IEEE Electromagnetics Award at the EMC Society Awards Ceremony to be held during the Virtual Symposium.
