Education

Mission

Our vision is to provide opportunities for individuals and organizations involved with electrotechnology and products to become aware of EMC at levels consistent with their needs, and our goals are to establish an awareness of EMC fundamentals throughout industry and academia as well as to enhance EMC education through the development of improved education techniques, materials, opportunities, and communications.

We have various offers for our members, and we also have an education committee to work on various initiatives to enhance our offerings.

Educational Offerings

  • Resource Center:
    • Resource Center offer recorded workshop and tutorials, webinars, distinguished lectures, demonstrations and experiments etc. with different pricing tiers. Many contents are free to EMC Society members. PCB Demo boards are also available for purchase at resource center.
  • Distinguished Lecturers:
    • The EMCS Distinguished Lecturer Program provides eminent speakers on various topics of high-interest and emerging aspects of electromagnetic compatibility for presentations at EMC Society chapter meetings and similar events. The offering is free at attendees. Please refer to the Distinguished Lecturer Program for details.
  • Conference Workshop and Tutorial:
  • Global University:
    • The Clayton R. Paul Global University provides in-depth high-quality classroom-style courses on EMC topics over multiple days. Since 2024, Global SIPI University is also offered with signal and power integrity topics. Both are offered during annual Symposium to attendees with additional fees.
  • Henry W. Ott Fundamentals:
    • We provide a full-day tutorial at symposium to give an overview of major topics that engineers need to consider in EMC+SIPI design. It is offered during the Symposium, and free with conference registration.
