Education and Student Activities Committee2013 Student EMC Hardware Design CompetitionThe IEEE EMC Society is pleased to announce the 2013 Student EMC Hardware Design Competition, administered by its Educational and Student Activities Committee (ESAC). The objective of the competition is to provide students interested in the field of EMC a hands-on opportunity to apply their knowledge. Contestant teams will construct a specified digital circuit containing six integrated circuits using their choice of layout and power supply-filtering techniques. Each completed design will be tested for RF radiated emissions, and design with the lowest overall emissions will be declared the winner. The winning entry will be awarded $900 in cash, and one team member will receive an expense-paid trip to attend the 2013 IEEE International Symposium on EMC held in Denver, CO, August 5-10. The student will have full access to all technical sessions and exhibits and will receive special recognition during the annual EMCS Awards Luncheon. The competition is open to college-level teams both at the undergraduate and graduate level. For more information click on the links below or email the competition administrator, Dr. Bogdan Adamczyk.
