We are a technology company within the automotive and fire protection industries that
specializes in the development of proprietary electro-optic products. Through our dedication to

mirror systems. Because of our growth, we have a career opportunity for an EMC Simulation Engineer.
This position involves utilizing 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional CAD tools to simulate and
evaluate electrical systems used in automotive applications. The main objective is to play
a key role in proactively reducing electromagnetic interference issues with Gentex products.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide simulations on system and sub-system level conceptual designs to support recommendations
- Provide expert guidance on optimal schematic, printed circuit board and harness configuration for the reduction of EMI
- Participate in system architecture activities during ideation phase of new products
- Optimize models (IBIS, SPICE, S-parameters) of key components and sub-assemblies used on Gentex products
- Provide power distribution network (PDN) guidance through the use of simulation tools
- Investigate EMI issues on existing products
- Provide training on relevant EMC principles
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Ansoft or CST tools for 2D and 3D simulation
- Able to work independently to complete short and long term goals in a timely manner
- Able to work effectively in a team environment in order to reach common goals
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills
- Have hands on expertise with test and measurement equipment (network analyzer, time domain reflectometer, spectrum analyzer, high speed oscilloscopes)
- Recognition as an expert in EM Simulation tools (publications with a recognized organization)
- Ability to balance timing constraints and technical objectives in order to make key decisions
- Ownership mentality
- Working knowledge of industry electromagnetic compatibility requirements (automotive is a plus)
- Ability to carry out engineering calculations and analysis
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited college or university with concentration in Electromagnetics. +5 years of industry experience.
OR
- Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university with post graduate studies in Electromagnetics.
