Exciting opportunity with our Sales team! Utilize your sales expertise! In addition to being the primary on-site customer focused "meet and greet person", for NOVI Automotive EMC customers their assigned duties will include:- Teaming closely with the outside sales colleague/s in order to jointly meet the assigned team bookings goal and to cross sell services that will be serviced other UL Business divisions. They will perform prospecting tasks to identify new opportunities within an assigned sales territory from both existing and new potential customers, and then manage any new leads, opportunities and quotes that are identified in conjunction with the outside sales team as required. They will be expected to apply effective inside sales questioning techniques to both new and existing accounts in order to assist customers in determining which services within UL's service portfolio best fit their needs and will then manage the quotation process internally. It is expected that all customer contact communication, quotes and information will be recorded into the appropriate customer relationship management (CRM) system. The candidate will when possible arrange appointments for the outside sales colleagues as required to meet with newly identified prospects to discuss various opportunities. After quotes have been issued they will then perform timely quotation follow-ups on all open quotes, until they are won, lost or cancelled. In addition to the above, the candidate will be expected to maintain a broad knowledge of UL's offerings in order to assist customers in meeting their total product testing and certification needs, and will be required to develop and manage on-going customer relationships in partnership with the Account Executive/s so that we achieve maximum account retention and high customer satisfaction and return rate.

Some limited travel within the USA will be required for selective customer or internal meetings and tradeshow attendance.

Compliance engineer will manage product safety, EMC and Radio certifications globally for our printer products. This will include managing life cycle changes, and new product certifications. Safety lab testing, Energy Start testing, EMC 3M chamber testing and bench testing will all be required.

We are looking for an EMC Manager based out of our Skokie, IL location, who would also manage our Ft. Collins, Colorado EMC team, and our Krakow, Poland EMC team. Each EMC site has both engineering and lab services that are specialized towards its business segment. There would be some travel as the ideal candidate would need to lead technical directives across these three sites. The EMC Engineering Manager reports to the Engineering Director and is responsible for providing the global EMC strategy for Woodward. This includes recommending best practices for EMC analysis, modeling and simulation on new product/system designs, mentoring EMC engineers, driving process improvements, strategic planning and presenting status to upper management. - The desired candidate will have an in depth awareness of redundant avionic architectures including trade-offs and characteristics of these architectures and familiarity of launch vehicle avionics.
- This position requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to lead group discussions.
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. The Electro and Communications Business is a dynamic fast paced organization investing in the technologies to benefit the products of the future. The position of Senior Application Engineering Specialist located in Austin, TX will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
- Demonstrating a significant background in wireless and Radio Frequency technologies
- Utilizing skills and knowledge that contribute to the application development, testing, and design of innovative solutions to multiple product platforms including; EMI/EMC, high speed data communication, and mobile & in-building wireless
- Practicing cross function teamwork with a cohort of Engineers and Scientists developing materials to address the needs of high speed data communication and control spanning from product conception-to-commercialization
Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
Basic Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 3 years experience in RF (Radio Frequency)/ Two-Way Radios and Solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency modulation schemes such as CDMA, QPSK, GMSK, GSM and AMPS
- Laboratory experience in the design and testing of electromagnetic circuits and materials up to 80 GHz
- Familiarity with material solutions to EMI/EMC issues
- Experience with Radio Frequency test equipment and practices

As Hardware Development Quality Engineer in Hardware Engineering, you will play a key role in the development of SSN’s RF solutions. Your objective will be to collaborate closely with our hardware design teams to develop, test and qualify products to be compliant with SSN and market requirements, the relevant EMC / Safety and industry specific standards and regulatory requirements. This will involve engaging with various groups (electrical, mechanical, product management, etc.) as early as possible in the R&D cycle to ensure compliance by design rather than retrofit at a later time. In addition, you will work closely with our customers to align requirements and test standards. This role also includes working the design engineers to plan, execute, and report Engineering Verification Tests.
Required Skills
- A strong technical background and analytical knowledge of EMC test and high speed design principles.
- Good general understanding of hardware design constraints and tradeoffs and an ability to find cost effective work-arounds where feasible; ability to simultaneously investigate multiple avenues to solve problems.
- Expert knowledge of international standards and procedures related to obtaining product certifications (e.g. FCC, CISPR, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of environmental compliance testing, standards, procedures and equipment.
- Familiarity with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, LISNs, network analyzers, current probes, etc
- Excellent understanding of product delivery life-cycles in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on EMC design experience, other HW design verification testing, or environmental compliance testing, preferably with Information Technology Equipment.
