Xiaoning Ye is currently a Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation, working on high speed interconnects in Datacenter and Server systems. He received his Bachelor and Master Degrees in electronics engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1995 and 1997 respectively, and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of Missouri – Rolla (currently Missouri University of Science and Technology) in 2000. He has published over 50 IEEE and other technical papers, and holds 6 patents and several patent applications.

COMMITTEE/BOARD: Xiaoning Ye was chair of TC10 (signal integrity and power integrity) of EMC society during 2012-2014, and is currently secretary of Technical Advisory Committee of EMC society.
CONFERENCES: Xiaoning Ye was TPC co-chair for IEEE International Conference on SIPI 2014 (embedded conference of IEEE international symposium on EMC 2014), TPC vice-chair for IEEE International Symposium on EMC & SI 2015 (Santa Clara), and TPC co-chair for IEEE International Conference on SIPI 2016 (embedded conference of IEEE international symposium on EMC 2016).
AWARDS: Xiaoning Ye received the Technical Achievement Award from IEEE EMC society in 2015, for “For contributions to the understanding of signal propagation in high-speed interconnects, modeling and simulation, measurement techniques, and interconnect optimization in product design.”
Nominee Statement (not to exceed 150 words in length):
It is with great passion for me to respectfully submit my application to serve on the Board of Directors for IEEE EMC Society. EMC society has continuously shaped my career over the past 18 years.
If elected, there are a few areas I would like to contribute to:
- Continue to drive deeper collaboration between industry and academia, which has been my passion about this society for many years. This can be done through serving at technical committees and symposium/conferences committees. I hope the efforts will help make the society be more influential and beneficial for the engineers and researchers within the community.
- Encourage and facilitate more younger generation of engineers to participate and make contributions in the technical committees. There are many young engineers who are eager to contribute and learn from the community. I feel that we should be able to provide more opportunities for them.
- Participate in being an associate editor to IEEE Transaction, especially papers are related to SI. I believe this is a critical part of helping to increase the scope and influence of our society.
